1. OBJECTIVE
To enable participants to understand and use powerful desktop publishing tools to generate standard documents for disseminating information in co-operatives such as newsletters, flyers,brochures, calendars, cards, posters and other publication documents.

4.5 Planning and designing the project
4.6 Creating creative artwork and editing digital images using powerful manipulation software
4.6.1 Using selection techniques and layering to manipulate and combine images
4.6.2 Enhancing the images with drawing tools
4.6.3 Tracking and deleting changes made during the editing process
4.6.4 Using filtering tools to stylise images
4.7 Scanning, adjusting, formatting and copying images using scanning tool
5. COUNTRY PAPERParticipants are required to:
5.1 Prepare a country paper on the co-operative movement or information technology and
communication (ICT)

7. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
7.1 A minimum of GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent
7.2 Must be able to speak and write good English
7.3 Prerequisites
Have a basic skill and knowledge of using personal computer. Familiarity with windos is necessary. No previous desktop puplishing experience is necessary, though any knowledge of graphic,photographic or internet working practices would be beneficial.
